Not because I forgot your birthday. I never forgot it.
I just overthought everything. I kept thinking maybe I should not text. Maybe I should give you space. Maybe hearing from me would make your day worse instead of better.
I stayed quiet for all the wrong reasons. Looking back, I realise silence was probably the worst choice. Someone who mattered to me deserved better than silence on her birthday.
So I am genuinely sorry. This website is my way of making up for that. Not because I expect anything in return, but because I wanted you to know that you were remembered, and that you deserved someone putting time into making you smile today.
I hope somewhere between these little games, these memories, and these flowers, you smiled at least once. That alone would make me really happy.
